Hey Sam, this is my frst day on the forum but I've been informed your the man to ask for questions.

I stopped by a local shop last night and wanted to buy a habano nub. All they had in the place was half a box of cammies, when i asked why they only had a handful of nubs i was told that they are out of stock everywhere and its a national backorder on habanos and almost all nubs. I would have been worried about this had i just not purchased a full box of habanos yesterday, but was just curious if this back order was serious, or just the employee..."blowing smoke"

shops dont get the cigars as fast as they like

the problem is Sam is doing his job almost too well, and every time he rolls into a new event, he creates a high demand in a city/state, causing local shops to immediately sell out and order more

Sam/Oliva still seem to figuring out the supply&demand balance for the Nub, you have to understand the hesitation of Oliva to go all in on a new brand, thus not producing the hell out of it, and now Oliva is getting hammered with demand, making Sam look good as a salesman/promoter, but possibly frustrating some purchasers

well that makes sense, Sam rolled through there 3 months ago and this place is a pretty large place, so if they were out i figured it was a serious situation

Just do as I do. Buy 4 boxes online at once and ur good for a month or so. Phoenix Cigars has em, CI has em, and Best Cigar Prices.com has them.

My nubs from there (CI) cracked. Other sources have not. Plus CI has screwed me over BIGTIME on a order of LFD FPI's

Where did you hear this? If it is true than the problem will solve it's self in time. I just hope going to a bigger production will not hurt construction or the tobacco used to make the NUB.

considering the amount of tobacco I heard Oliva keeps around (not sure if I heard this here or from Jose) I have no concern about the quality of the tobacco, or the quantity
but I do agree with the concern about the construction, you want the best rollers available, and you dont want to push them beyond their limits

I concur. I smoked the NUBs that I won faster than a crackhead can sell two cheeseburgers and a TV set. LMAO!
