But it looks like I am in for a great custom humidor at a minimum!

I had a great time at the Mission Pipe & Tobacco shop (Thanks Donna!) last night, and what a way to cap it off! The 1/46th Winning Ticket! :-))

I picked up a box of Cameroon 464's for my brother and his crew (US Navy) and then pickup up a couple extra Nubs for myself and then... POW, my name gets pulled outta the hat! Then to top THAT off; Sam rolls me a fresh NUB right there on the spot!

Good luck in October to all the rest of the Lucky Nubbers!

Anyone else know what an RM3 is? ;-)
(note: if you weren't GrayAndFloating, you probably don't)

Thanks again Sam and The Family, I feel like I already won. :-)

Liberty & Regards,
Clay

Congrats Clay, sounds like you really hit the jackpot buddy! I'm sure your brother and his crew will enjoy the Cammy's too, that's very nice of you.

Thanks, and yeah, I **KNOW** they will (I do) ;-))

I am gonna go smoke that fresh one that Sam rolled for me, with a 18 year old Laphroaig (the Liquid Smoke single malt).

:-))

Well one LESS if you are asking the RM2... ;-)))
Ask Sam what his Rate is/was

Oh man, I love Laphroaig, but i haven't had the 18yr yet, i'll have to try it out sometime. Have you tried any other Islay Scotch? I enjoy Lagavulin 16yr quite a bit.

Congrats on the Humidor! That is sweet! It sounds like a good time for sure. Glad you got out and enjoyed, Beale.

I haven't tried the Lagavulin yet, but I have heard it is really good (even better, according to one acquaintance of mine).

You can buy the Laphroaig on their website! Up to 30 years old, and even the uncut 10year...They have that 40 Year stuff as well, but it is WAY outside of my budget! :-)

So far from Laphroaig, i've had the 10yr and the Quarter Cask. I loved both. Of other Islay Scotch's, i've had (and keep a bottle on my shelf) the 16yr Lagavulin, the Bowmore Legend, and the Island of Geese Islay Scotch Blend. I've tried Ardbeg (uber smoked peat flavor) and Bowmore 12yr. Of other single malts not from Islay, i've had Macallan cask strength, and Glenfiddich 21yr (aged in Caribbean Rum Casks)

I checked Laphroaig's website, it says they won't ship to US and Canada. Looks like i'm out of luck. It's ok, i plan on going over in a couple of years, I'll have to find a way to get some bottle back into the states.

AH...I didn't see the "no US shipping" thing! So much for the Land of the Free part....Alas, we could still smuggle some into The States, then we would at least have the "Home of the Brave" part nailed! ;-))

Well, i'll have to see what I can do. In a couple years, when I take my 2 week trip to Scotland, I'm either coming home to post pictures of my venture overseas and the bounty I return with, or I'll be posting my mug shot. Either way it'll be a good story to tell.

Sorry, I don't know. But Sam said they would be nice, leather or something....and designed for Nub'ish inventory! ;-)))

Ask Sam what his Rate is/was

I was a radioman in the Navy (communications)

Rm3 is for radioman third class petty officer

The rate is now called information tech (IT) I believe

My son is in the Navy. He is a CTT2 ( not sure about the CTT part) I know he just made Petty Officer 2nd class. His ship is coming home the 18th of this month. I am really looking foward to seeing him again, Beale.
