speaking of mortars, I had never head them before I went on vacation and visited somebody's home in Cape Fear

there was this constant sound that had us all sorts of confused, we were told it was mortar practice

I guess they practice a LOT at Legune, because those damn things never stopped

Dave (Maverick) just gave me a hollar to let me know that his property is in utter disarray. Apparently a bomb went off today that literally tore his house in half and sent his front porch barreling to the other side of the neighborhood.

I will let him tell you about what the carnage entailed, but needless to say I am jealous!!! Congrats, Dave! An nice heavy weaponry, Sam!

Sam gave the UPS man a hernia when he delivered the bomb. After the smoke cleared his truck was still there thankfully!!!! Thanks so much Sam you are a great bomber & BOTL. I'll post some pics later.

My god, it came by such surprise...I'm driving down my street thinking about my horrible day at work, and i couldn't wait for the day to finally be over. I figured I would lay down and pass out, then I walk up to the porch and BAMMMM!!!! Like a land mine, only larger, and badder, and more awe inspiring, it was such an amazing sight. I had to shield the dog from it's blast. Frags flying everywhere...the neighbors heard my screams and feared for their lives, for their children's lives, but when the dust settled, I knew everything would be ok. I knew I was a better person for experiencing...no, for surviving such a blast. So, here's a pic of the aftermath, once I picked up all the pieces and put them together again. Oh, and i'm not too proud to admit, I cried a little, but tears of joy my friends, the best kind to shed.
