Seems like I am the only one whom smokes my cigars w/ a dick cut. (for those of you whom dont know what that is, its when u cut the cigar on an angle so the smoke hits the pallet of your mouth, not that I cut my D!ck before I smoke) I wanted to know if anyone else smokes there cigars this way, or if anyone else has a different or odd way of smoking?

My buddy Todd used to do this, butI don't think he does anymore, tried it myself, and bah, leaves the end too jacked up if you cut beyond the cap of the cigar

I tried it on an Oliva V and it just didnt feel comfortable in my mouth. But it did direct the smoke, so will try it again

I have tired that cut a couple times and it just ddidn't really do anything for me. But hey to each their own! If you like it do it. Some others I have tired. Punching the top side of a Chisel, or the top and bottom. Also doing a cross cut with a V cutter, you know like X at the end. Just for fun :)

The only time I use the "dick cut" is on torps. It seems to widen the area to allow more smoke to come through.

I'll be honest, I hate even reading the term "dick cut"...it puts chills down my spine and triggers a similar response as jumping in a cold pool, if you know what i mean.

I use this type of cut for torpedos only. I've never heard of the term "Dick Cut" though... Thank goodness.

I wasn't sure what you meant about the cut.....

then I thought about asking for a pic.....

Yeah, I know people who do that on torpedos and belicosos. I don't. Maybe one day got to try. But I doubt I'd do it to NUb: they already have enough girth to allow lots of smoke hit your palate. And one would need a huge cutter to fit the NUB under angle.

This all reminds me of the debate about what to do with an LG Chisel. Some people cut the tip, some try punching the flat part.....I just pinch it & it pops open.

Different strokes for different folks.

I can't lie, I've never even heard of it

I've heard of it, but never tried it. It also conflicts with the instructions (which may be false) to rotate the cigar while smoking (which would in turn direct the smoke to the top of the mouth, the cheek, the tongue, the other cheek, the top of the mouth, the cheek.....you get the picture). Rotating, I believe is intended to assist with a clean, even burn....but again, it may be all bunk.

I also do that for torpedoes only. It does allow more smoke to roll around the palate and hit all points of the taste buds more prominently. In regards to the Chisel, I have pinched the end open, but find that a scissor will cut it where it needs to be, since it was already designed to fit the mouth well.
