but I finally broke out the Oliva Serie-G I got from c-fest and wow was that a good cigar
obviously going to be some similarities in materials to the nub, cameroon wrapper, nicaragua filler, box press robust with a small ring gauge and I am very impressed
between my happiness with the nub and this one, oliva has bumped padron from the spot as my favorite manufacturer

That brings up a good question. Does Oliva have more than one type of cameroon/conn/habano plant it grows. Or does it use the same ones when blending it's cigars?

Don't know the answer to that question, but I do like the V's too especially the Double Toro.

The Serie G are great cigars, but I prefer the Serie V. Love the taste of the Habano wrapper

the habano wrapper has been just a little to strong for my taste

I find the strength of the Serie V creeps up on me. I dont notice it til towards the end of the final 3rd.

I call the V a medium cigar but I agree, it is on the strong side of medium and not for the faint of heart.

The V needs a Nub variety!
I love the V. It is one of my top 5 cigars of all time.

My first real cigar was an Oliva Series G Special G. But I like the Series G Robusto, both Maduro and Cameroon. It took me a while to graduate to the Maduro.
My first Maduro a year ago had me turning green. But enjoyed a Series G Robusto Maduro with a Yuengling Porter this past weekend. Yummy!
That being said, my all time favorite is definitely my Nub Cameroon 466 BPT with a Yuengling Porter or with a Great Lakes Brewing Company's Seasonal Moondog ESB. Definitely an enjoyable mix with whichever beer you choose.

No Olivas available here, but I've managed to get my hands on a few Vs. Loved'em. Still got one in my humi, saving it for some good occasion. Gotta get more if me or a friend would have a trip to US. And some NUbs too, of course.
