when someone you've yet to meet - gifts you with package of cigars
Just because....
he's your brother of the leaf, his generosity exudes from his character - this is a man who receives pleasure from his random acts of "bombing" his brothers and sisters...
and he is one of the Men who Love Us!
Thank you brother....
I received a "hit" from one of the brothers over at Cigar Live, and he was so kind to send me a my very first Nub Habano. Its pre draw had a nice sweet fruity sense to it - which immediately caught my attention. The foot of the cigar toasted up nicely, and its first draw was clear with a billow of white smoke. As I smoked through the first third, a peppery tingle on the tongue with a slight reflection of spice on the lip, a very distinct difference from the Cameroon I thought. It could have been because the Cameroon was my first experience with the Nub family, and from its first draw, I was hit with the "whoa" factor. Up until this point, the Habano was a more delicate experience for me. Its flavor of licorice, pepper and spice - mildly sensed, and not as complex as its brother the Cami.
It wasn't until the half way point, I was hit with a "ya better stay seated" buzz - the Nub was on! Known for its solid ash, I managed to do the Nub dance and stood my cigar on its feet - no wind, but just as I went to take the shot the batteries went dead!! Dang, foiled again....
The ash held up all the way to the final moments when it finally fell itself. The change up in the last leg of this cigar was like magic - Sam, u sure knew how to make an enthusiast slow the smoke down some!

I absolutely love this cigar, and without a doubt, hands down, another Lady's Nod for the Nub Habano. Not only is this an easy laid back smoke - its just fun!
