how many have you tried and had the burn issues with? What are your burn issues? What humidity are they stored at?

I concur. I had a 466 Habano on Sunday (6/8). It lasted for almost 2 hrs but it did burn funny. I bought it at the release event the day before so there really wasn't any time to experience any significant changes in humudity. I have another 466 & a 460 in the humi now @ 72%.

That humidity is considered by most to be way too high. I myself prefer 64%. I have over 2,000 cigars stored at that humidity and everyting is fine like that. Furthermore, they age better at the lower humidity. Some of my cigars I've had for over 12 years.

Thanks Skip. I'll keep that in mind. I'm still a NUbby :-)

I agree with Skipper. My GF was out of town last week and I smoked about a dozen NUBS in the house....shhhhh don't tell. Anyways I had 6 or 7 Habanos and all burned perfectly. My Humidor is locked in at 65%. I have not had one burn issue with any of the NUBS that I have smoked, nearly 20 now.

Skip,
Checked my humi last night and it's down to 68%. I plan on just maintaining that. Thanks again for the advice.

Skipper you have some cigars that are 12 years old. How does that happen? My oldest cigar is like 3 years old . I bet those 12 years olds are something special.

Skipper has so many cigars, he forgets that he has ceratin boxes. He probably has 4 or 5 boxes taht are older than 5 years that he has totally forgotten that he has.

I still have cigars from my very first box purchases. Yeah, and like Ashman said, I forget I have them then it's like christmas.
About a year ago I smoked an el rey del mundo from a box that I bought in the 90's. It was incredible. I have 4 left.
I also have cigars form when I first met Bulz (DW). In fact I have 1 cigar left from a box of Camacho SLR Robusto that he talked me into buying way back then.

also been down that road
I still have a few leftovers from a box of bolivars I bought in 98, bought them because I was in Canada and hadn't really developed my tastes yet, and kept not smoking them because I wanted an occasion to break out a Cuban . . .
a couple dozen weddings, friends having kids, college graduations, wife became a doctor, and I keep forgetting to smoke them

The Cameroon and the Conneticut burns much better.....Pound for pound the Cameroon is the best pick
I gotta agree with you. Ive had my share of the Cam's and Connies and loved every ounce of each one. Recently, I decided to give the Hab's a try. The majority of it was good, the burn was a little uneven, but thats just me being "picky". The problem was, when I got close to to the band, it went out. I ashed and sparked it back up. The flavor had become harsh, and after about 2 puffs, it went out again. This time it wasnt so easy to light up...but once it did, the flavor was still harsh and it was now burning very hot (even after a purge). I chalked it up to a fluke in the stick and decided to try another one the next day, for the most part, the same problems returned.
NUb is still one of my top seeds, and I definitely am not turning my back on the Hab's...Next time in the B&M, Ill pick up another! This time it will be better....I know it :)

The habano is the only one I have smoked. I will be honest I thought it was a great smoke. Very smooth and just a good smoke.
I do wanna try all 3 for sure, Beale.

I am a bit of a newb, i smoked my first Nub yesterday, which happened to be a Hab, and i thought it delish, but it did have an uneven burn. However, i believe more of that was my fault. From what i'm reading, my humi is up a bit too high, about 74%, and in my intoxicated state of being (that's what 5 glasses of Single Malt Islay Scotch will do to you) I think I just didn't do a good job of lighting it up, and once I got into a good game of darts, I neglected the stick too long and she went out. I did a little purge and relit, and after a brief harshness, she returned to her former glory, but i only made it about 1/2 way down before I was done. I completely blame that on the Scotch, and the fact that i drank every day, all day since Thursday. I look forward to smoking another with crane, hopefully this weekend, as i would imagine i'll enjoy the full smoke much better in a sober state.
