April 1st NUB event in northern Kentucky

I just got home from the NUB event tonight, and boy was it pretty freaking awesome.
Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera, so all I have is some cameraphone pics.

Walking up, the very first thing I saw was the infamous Mini.

Then, after meeting Jose Oliva, Bulz, and Sam, I popped down a $20 for 4 NUBs, a ticket for the Mini raffle, and some tickets to the weekly Party Source raffle.

Oh what the heck, might as well pick up a box of NUB cameroons as well!

Soon, Sam sat down and started rolling some NUBs himself. "The 1st one is always bad," he said.

I liked it so much I went ahead and picked up a box of that too.

For buying the box of Cameroons, I got the NUB shirt.
For buying the box of Habanos, (no not those kind of habanos ;)) I got a 6-stick sampler.
Plus the one Sam rolled, and the 4 from the original bag.
In celebration, and on the advice of Sam, I lit up the Connecticut.
It was actually surprisingly very very good. But I didn't get a box of those too because I don't want to sleep on the couch tonight! :P



The event was a huge success. For Oliva, for Sam, for everyone that came out.
Mostly for the guy who won the ticket for the Mini drawing...:X
The cigars sold out in an hour. Sam was proud as a papa. And he should be.
54 events to go, and I bet the great bulk of them do just as well.
I was skeptical of the pre-release hype, but I have to say that it's worth it. I'm a believer, the NUBs are good. REALLY good. And the price is right on.

I encourage everyone to find an event near their home, and go to it. This wasn't the regular Tuesday night tasting at the Party Source. This one was great.

From the moment Sam drove the Mini across the pedestrian bridge out to the event, to the rolling clinic, to the "hey, we're all out of Nubs", to the "woohoo that's me!!" from the first finalist for the convertible...it was nothing short of awesome.

I wish I could attend 2 more this week! Ok, so maybe I will!!

Now this tells you should take more than just 54 boxes to these events. It won't hurt if not all are sold out, but you don't want to tell people "sorry, no NUbs for you today", do you?
